The house is in a fantastic location very close to Downtown Denver, a quick and easy 10 to 15 minute walk away. The home is close enough to go quickly wherever you want Downtown, but it is remarkably quiet and very restful. Located in the upscale "Uptown" neighborhood, just east of downtown, the house is a working-class Victorian home (not elegant, but roomy, with character, lots of light and high ceilings). The common rooms (living room, dining room and kitchen) are available to guests for meeting space, or for just hanging out. In the summer, a large evaporative cooler and ceiling fans help keep the whole house cool. The small, fenced garden in the back yard is a work in progress, with a small patio under the grape arbor, and the front porch is ideal for watching the world go by.
The house itself accommodates up to 8 guests with several kinds of accommodations: queen bed in private room, double bed in private room, king bed for up to 3 people (best with small child or children) in a private room, and a large double sofa bed in living room for families or groups traveling together and who will book the queen bed room as well. There are other sleeping possibilities as well. Family/group rates are negotiable. The two bathrooms are shared. A two-night minimum stay is preferred.
Supervised children are very welcome. However, we can not accomodate pets and smoking is not allowed inside.
