Re-inventing the Bed and Breakfast
When we moved to Evergreen Colorado in 1979 we bought the Highland Haven Motel. One year later with precious few improvements we re-titled it Highland Haven Resort Motel-aptly as we added horseshoes for the luxury of it. For over 20 years we have been The Highland Haven Creekside Inn and it has stuck. When the business of bed and breakfasts entered the American market, traveling from Europe the variety of the industry varied wildly in styles and offerings. Tom and I have spent our careers here re-inventing the bed and breakfast as it pertains to us.
The differences we trust are evident to our guests, here you will not find the stereotypical offerings of a B and B; an intended absence of lace, delicate china, stuffed animals or antique themed rooms. Rather you will see the warm woods, fine craftsmanship, non-fussy elements that men and women alike will appreciate. Tom says the labor shows and he lives by this creed in all his aesthetic artistry, evidenced throughout the property. Privacy is protected; all suites, cottages and guests rooms have private entries, and bathrooms, and go up to 1500 square feet in size. You need not eat the expansive, and home made breakfast with your neighbors.
